The highly anticipated, long awaited arrival of the HTC HD2 mobile smartphone is fast approaching and today has seen the first pre-orders and insight into the potential iPhone killer’s tariff costs.
Mobiles.co.uk, little brother of the Carphone Warehouse, today started taking pre-orders of HTC’s latest handset, offering its customers some surprisingly good deals in the process. Available on O2, the pick of the contracts seem to be a 24month, £25 per month deal that includes 600 any time, any network minutes and unlimited texts with just a £99 initial charge for the handset.
Those not wishing to commit to two whole years of their life can choose from a selection of 18month contracts that includes the same minutes and texts as the above deal for £35 a month and only £79.99 up front.
Otherwise, you can pick it up SIM-free from eXpansys or other retailers for around £500, as the HD2 isn’t exclusive to any network here in the UK.
Running on Windows Mobile 6.5 alongside HTC Sense for the first time, the sleek HD2 packs a 4.3-inch touchscreen and a 5.0-megapixel camera with a flash and auto focus. It has only been a couple of weeks since we got our first hands on with the HTC and we have been waiting with bated breath ever since waiting for its arrival, with today’s first glimpse of the contract plans it will be on, we are now even more excited.
