R.U.S.E is a laid back real time strategy game for those who like a command and conquer style theme. The game has little or nothing to offer in terms of visuals, but it makes up for that setback, through highly addictive gameplay modes.
PC gamers like R.U.S.E because of its friendliness towards mouse and keyboard based controls. The game flows flexibly and players experience no hassles while dealing with its levels. R.U.S.E has a tabletop cardboard game sort of interface.
Everything is viewable from a top down angle that sort of gives you a military general feeling. Trust me, you’ll feel really good while controlling your minions over R.U.S.E’s maps.
R.U.S.E’s offline mode doesn’t have a proper scenario campaign. It’s the multiplayer battles that test your skills against your sense of morphing the battlefields. Sometimes, you’re gonna have to leave your PC unattended for an hour or more because of R.U.S.E’s bogged down servers. Either they’re too cramped with players, or there’s no one available online.
On a scale of 1 to 5, we’d give R.U.S.E a solid 3.0. This PC RTS game has the potential to keep you interested for a long time. Rest assured, with a minimum number of resources and tons of things to manage. R.U.S.E will put you at your wit’s end.
