2011 is off to a great start, thanks to a handful of big game releases. So far this month we’ve had DC Universe Online for the PS3 and PC as well as LittleBigPlanet 2.
This Friday in the UK (today for you lucky US lot) sees the release of an eagerly anticipated blockbuster sequel from EA, along with a few other titles that you may want to keep an eye on.
The big one this week is Dead Space 2, the sequel to 2008′s critically acclaimed sci-fi survival horror game.
The game sees players once again taking control of Isaac Clarke, an engineer who’s mind is slowly unravelling as he attempts to deal with the events of the first game and the repercussions of those events in the Dead Space 2.
Check out our Dead Space 2 review round-up for more on the game.
Mario Sports Mix for the Nintendo Wii also hits store shelves this week. Developed by Square Enix Sports Mix features all of Nintendo’s iconic characters getting together for some over-the-top arcade style sports gameplay.
With cooperative and local multiplayer modes this might be worth a look if you’re planning a shindig soon.
